Moms, it is no secret that one effective way to get exposure for your business is by distributing articles to other websites.
Whether you are guest blogging or writing as a freelancer, all that exposure is not worth much, unless individuals CLICK on your byline.
Here are 4 quick tips to ensure you have clickable bylines:
#1: Do not make it all about you, it is not a biography:
Sometimes it is called a "bio box", but always put yourself in the mind of the reader.
They do not really want to know about you, your credentials or your life.
They want to know how you can help them instead.
#2: Craft unique bylines to match your specific topic:
While it might be more work, crafting a byline that is tailored specific to the article's content will more likely produce better results.
It is well worth the effort to make an on-target offer.
For example, if you are a health writer and you write an article about weight loss and the link in your byline is about weight loss, it will perform better than if it is just about general health.
#3: Make your article lead into the byline:
Not only should the offer you make in your byline be relevant to your content, you want the article to flow right through to the byline.
Think of the byline as the conclusion to your article.
For example, if you write an article about using intuitive eating for weight loss and you provide 10 tips in the article, your byline will show the reader how to get 10 more tips by signing up for your free report.
Or, if you show the reader how to complete home improvement projects, send them back to your site to get a free list of tools or a blueprint to make completing the job easier.
#4: Give them a specific call to action.
Do not mince words:
Tell your reader what you want them to do.
If you are wishy-washy, they will just move on.
Luckily, you can grab some byline templates to make it easy for you to create strong calls to action.
To your success,
